Brevard Renaissance Fair Photography Policy
The Brevard Renaissance Fair (BRF) welcomes photographers and videographers to capture the magic and excitement of our event. To ensure the enjoyment, safety, and privacy of all participants, and to protect the integrity of the event, we have established the following guidelines:
General Guidelines for Photography and Videography
- Respect for Guests and Performers:
- Always ask for permission before taking close-up photos of guests, especially children.
- Be mindful of performers during shows and do not interrupt or obstruct their performances.
- Non-Disruptive Behavior:
- Avoid blocking walkways, entrances, or exits while taking photos.
- Do not use flash photography during performances or in areas where it may disturb others.
- Restricted Areas:
- Photography and videography are not permitted in backstage areas or other restricted zones unless authorized by BRF management.
- Appropriate Content:
- All images and videos must be respectful and appropriate for all audiences, reflecting the family-friendly nature of the event.
Professional and Commercial Photography
- Media and Press Photographers:
- Accredited media must register at the BRF office or designated media check-in point before entering the event.
- Press credentials must be displayed at all times while on-site.
- Commercial Photography:
- Commercial photographers must obtain prior approval and a special permit from BRF management.
- All commercial use of images, including but not limited to promotional materials, advertisements, or resale, requires explicit written consent from BRF management.
- Vendor and Performer Use:
- Vendors and performers may take photos or videos for promotional purposes but must ensure content aligns with BRF branding and policies.
Photographer Designated Areas
- Photographer Zones:
- Dedicated areas will be established for photographers to capture key performances and activities without interfering with guest experiences. These zones will be clearly marked on the event map.
- End-of-field and central shooting spots will be available for action shots, with placement designed to minimize backlighting and sun interference.
- Access and Coordination:
- Professional photographers must coordinate with BRF management to access designated zones and follow directions to avoid disrupting performances or blocking views for attendees.
Guest Photography
- Personal Use Only:
- Guests are encouraged to take photos and videos for personal use.
- Tripods, monopods, or large equipment that may obstruct pathways or views are not permitted.
- Respect for Others:
- Always be courteous when photographing or filming around other guests. Avoid crowding or causing inconvenience.
Ownership of Photos and Media
All photographs and videos taken on the premises of the Brevard Renaissance Fair are considered the property of BRF. By attending the event, you agree that BRF retains the right to use any photos or videos taken during the event, regardless of whether they were captured by guests, vendors, or media, for promotional or other purposes without compensation or attribution.
Use of Photos by BRF
By attending the Brevard Renaissance Fair, guests consent to being photographed or filmed by BRF management or official photographers. These images may be used for promotional purposes, including social media, advertising, and other marketing materials. Guests who do not wish to be photographed or filmed should notify event management upon entry.
Violations of Policy
BRF reserves the right to revoke access to the event for individuals or organizations who fail to comply with this policy.
